WD-40 A WONDER PRODUCT!

I have not tried all these but there are some good uses for WD-40 in this list. I usually keep things like this in a folder so I can refer to them in case I need a quick fix for something.

Created in 1953 by three technicians at the San Diego Rocket Chemical Company. Its name comes from the project that was to find water Displacement compound. They were successful with the fortieth formulation; thus WD-40.

The Corvair Company bought it in bulk to protect their atlas missile parts.

Ken East (one of the original founders) says there is nothing in WD-40 that would hurt you.
When you read the 'shower door' part, try it. It's the first thing that has ever cleaned that spotty shower door. If yours is plastic, it works just as well as glass. Then try it on your stovetop. It is now shinier than it has ever been before.

Just fyi....don't use it in the patio door track if you have a hard surface in the house...like linoleum. Long ago and far away when we lived in another house our patio door would get to where it wouldn't open and close easily. So my husband, the genius, sprayed the track. Later I was headed outside and man o' me...my feet went skidding out from me and I went down like a ton of bricks. We learned a valuable lesson that day. :)

I have used WD40 over the years for tons of things. I always have at least 2 cans around the house. It is the Wonder spray as far as I am concerned.

I checked on Snopes and they have a list from the manufactuer of
wd-40 that has the not so good uses removed. Also, it is not fish oil based.

We use WD-40 around here, too.

There is probably not a can of WD40 on my property, however when I show this list to my husband, he may purchase a case.

Your blogs are always so interesting and full of facts.

Have a Blessed Week, and keep up the good work.

We've always kept it around, but even I didn't realize just how many things it could be used for! Great info, Judy!

Gracious, Judy, I had no idea you could use WD-40 for so many things. I'm headed out now to Tom's workshop to...ahem...appropriate his can of WD-40. I need it worse than he does. :-)

Your blog is truly the mother lode of useful information, Judy. Thank you!

Hi Judy, Sorry to hear about your niece. My love and prayers are with the family.

That is so interesting about WD-40.. We use it all of the time, and I didn't know it had been on the market for so long. NEAT!!! I would never think to spray it on the bathroom mirror.. Crazy!!!!

Love those bookcases. Your hubby has quite a great 'hobby' (retirees job) doesn't he??? Sounds like you are doing great with your booth.. That's so special. People will BUY...

Hope you are having a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Used it this morning to take a metal plant hanger apart. Just put some where the two pieces came together and turned. Miracle stuff.

Love the stuff. Auctioneers use permanent marker to mark sold items. WD-40 removes the marks.

Judy, where does one buy this wonderful stuff ? Someone I know might be travelling here from the US and maybe I should ask for a can/bottle of the stuff....

Maybe they should rename this product. I never knew WD-40 was this good, we have used it for years but not for all this. Thank you for taking the time to share this info, have a great week.

I MUST tell my son about the one about guitar strings.

I have a stainless steel sink, so I will try it.

There are so many good uses listed here. I will buy some WD-40 and keep it on hand. This list reminds me of the list I read about the uses of Bounce dryer sheets.
It's amazing how many uses there are for these things beyond the obvious!

:-)
