Not that finding a spider on yourself is funny, but your account of it was just so vivid and lively that I could picture the whole scene so readily! Such a great post.

The same thing just happened to me the other morning. I get up very early to fix Tom's lunch and stand on the porch in the dark to see him off. We have these enormous spiders that build their webs on the porch at night and I apparently blundered into one of their webs. I felt the web on my face and then felt something thump into the top of my head and move about in my hair. Thank goodness none of our neighbors was awake at that time of the morning because I screamed bloody murder and slapped at my head repeatedly like a demented woman. I think that spider probably died of shock, but I kept imagining all day that I felt it crawling in my hair.
*Shudder*Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12575140898505901920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4986262392503672837.post-79173455634068214502009-10-03T23:39:12.521-04:002009-10-03T23:39:12.521-04:00First of all, I'm sorry I missed your birthday...First of all, I'm sorry I missed your birthday, so Happy Belated Birthday!!! I am absolutely petrified of them and we have woods nearby. A few years ago, my hubby was weed whacking near the front door and apparently frightened one of those huge hairy wolf spiders. I caught sight of him sliding under the front door onto the landing. I swallowed my fear and grabbed one of The Big Guy's size 15 Nikes that were sitting on the stairway, I raised it and whopped it down on that sucker! Got him! Of course, I didn't consider the bounce back factor of a size 15 tennis shoe. I tore the ligament in my thumb when the shoe flipped back against my hand as it hit the floor. I had my hand in a cast for 8 weeks! Now when someone tells me "that spider won't hurt you", I counter with "Wanta bet?"Ramblin Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10370462257976522563noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4986262392503672837.post-22024277705746426512009-10-01T22:55:26.420-04:002009-10-01T22:55:26.420-04:00WHAT?
